Odin Scheduling Software by Kevin Volk

This is an example of the astronomy observation time-line produced by the scheduling software. The numbers at left and right refer to orbit numbers since launch. Each of the four lines in a bar shows the status of some aspect of the satellite. The top line shows the observation status: green during observations, red during occultation of the target, blue when the target is seen through the Earth’s atmosphere, and yellow for slews. The second line shows the receiver mode. The third line shows the status of the two sky beams. The fourth line shows the solar panel illumination status. In each case different colours are used for different states. A more detailed description of the various colours in the bars of the timeline display is given by the next slide.
